As Monsoon said, you should be able to select jpeg as a format to save your images from Vue.For images that are already in other formats, there are several software to convert images.
If you need a place to start, I got to like Xnview (partly because it is simple, powerful and free).
perosnally what I do is save files out as .psd (Photoshop format) or tiff, so you have alpha channels, and no loss of quality, then I load in Paint Shop or Photoshop, add my signature, then save a copy as a jpg.
I don't know what formats Xnview supports, but Paint SHop Pro supports photoshop and tif formats, I don't know about GImp2, sorry :)

Thanks for your input, when trying to load a pic into my blog, it says the picture needs to be .jpg - is there a converter I need.
