Hi. I am a newbie. Will more memory speed up Bryce renders? Or is a faster processor the only thing that will? Peej

Depends, if you have insufficient memory then more will help. I'm running slightly over 200 megs ram. Beyond that there's little improvement, but if you have like 64m then upgrade the memory. Processor is the key though.

I think a faster procesor. But have more memory always help when you are in a complex scene. The Pc havent to go to HD everytime you need to do something in the scene.

Processor it is for rendering!!! - more memory, just makes it easy to build more complex scenes and have them remain 'workable'

It's best at first to upgrade the processor speed. But as mention from Eric, If you have only 64MB it would be good to upgrade to 128 MB. I am running with 256MB.

Definately processor speed. I have 600+ mega and an AMD 450K-2. The extra memory hasn't helped that much even in building a complex scene.
