Subject: General warning... they're at it again.

There seems to be no end to the online cons... and they have the nerve to do the same one over and over. I received the following:

 Dear Customer:

You have recently Added the below email to your account:
** janenz@mail.com**
If you did not request this change of email, just click on the link below. You will be asked to enter your PayPal Online ID and passcode and Confirm your Confidential Information you have with us on record and the added e-mail will be automatically deleted and account restored.

My usual response is to forward to this address  spam@uce.gov  it's their online fraud reporting address.

Mail from PP will never be addressed 'Dear Customer' it will always be in your account name.

If you use mailwasher it will also show you the REAL link in the preview pane which is not the link that may show up in OE - this goes for any suspicious mail that you may get.

If you are using the newest version of Firefox, the site loads with a big warning saying it's a suspected forgery site.

  Hi Xena.... No, I never actually go to these sites, and, yes, I'm running Firefox. Mostly, what I do, is have all e-mails show in the "expanded" format.... then, if it looks suspicious, I have a look at the header. Lou.

I don't ever go to those sites either :)
But I just wanted people to know that Firefox is helping to recognise these sites for what they are, and people really should use it instead of anything else.
