Oh my! Knew about the second set but not the Poser Science one. Thanks! Btw, you do NOT need a serial number to get these freebies. :-)

It should now include:

But the White House Pro Pack is missing in my download

Byrdie ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 5:40 PM

I don't think it's in the download. Probably you get a coupon for  $20 off is what they mean.

CauriBlackthorne ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 6:04 PM

You´re right. Next time I´ll have a closer look before I start complaining.... Anyway, thanks @ e-frontier for the nice stuff.

shedofjoy ( ) posted Thu, 22 March 2007 at 6:53 PM

Happy B-day CP!

Thanks for these great prezzies!   We're just swimming in it lately.

Alisa ( ) posted Fri, 23 March 2007 at 9:57 AM

Please note - the ad is INCORRECT.  The White House Pro Pack is NOT included.  You will not get a coupon for it.  I have posted at CP, and Poser Science seems to think that I am simply misunderstanding what they said.  Their respons is that The White House Pro Pack is on sale at $20 off.

The gift pack is a very nice offer, despite this (note that if you are a Passport Member who downloads all the freebies, you already have everything other than Earth & Moon, since they were already given for free, and don't have to re-download them).

However, the ad needs to be changed.  I have written back to tell them they (or CP, I don't know who's in charge) need to remove the Pro Pack from the list and put it at the end of the ad, noting the fact that it is not free, but IS $20 off

Cheers,
Alisa

Update :)

Not only have they fixed it, they have added a few additional items.  Several $$ off items, and also the .pdf book version of "Become a 3D Artist" for free.  So, if you got the gift pack already, go check your downloads to get the pdf - it has been added.  You may want to check them for the next few days, as they have said they may add things to it :).  Clearly this was all just a bit of confusion on the part of Poser Science - nice that they have fixed it and offered these things !

Alisa

The Poser Science gift bag has been extended until April 1st and now includes the Solar System Pro Sampler - Saturn Moons that orbit  with a Poser Animation that is included in the package now.

We might add another gift or two as well.

Enjoy.

Ok Alisa. You asked for it. We've added a .pz3 animation file that uses the Gift Bag's Earth & Moon and Comet.

It includes the lights and 27 day moon rotation cycle around the earth. We've included a deep starfield background so that you can see how to setup "Star Wars" type space environments. Feel free to add flying ships as are available from Vanishing Point.

We've included a complete product of Saturn and it's moons animating. Just load the .pz3 file and press play. Closest thing to a MAKE GOOD ANIMATION Button you'll find ;)

If you're interested in animation in Poser 7, you'll want to check this out. Its free.

We're playing a little game with the Magical Gift Bag. Clues and movies for an Epic Drama are added to the product download page often. Look for new products and add-ons regularly.  They say an alien craft is headed towards Earth...

Keep Gifting it Forward, and we will keep adding to it.

Enjoy.

Don't miss these guys!

And thanks  so much Poser Science!

[Hope this isn't a double post the 1st one seems to have gone past this universe.]

We've just added a major clue. This is an 86MB Flash Music Video and may have performance issues on slower machines. It is designed for high performance graphics machines but should still work.

That's all we'll say. Stay tuned to the Birthday Gift page for more details.

GPS satellite added to Poser Science's gift bag, and a bunch of clues - if you got it, go check your downloads.  If you download the clues, check out the post at CP, cause one of them has an obscure password and can only be opened with a few decompression programs.

Thanks, Poser Science!

You need to have a passport to access that link. Unfortunately mine expired.

What I find rather amusing, is that people are getting some nice freebies. The cluses might
eventually lead to something REALLY nice for whoever figures it out. And what do people do?
Whine! Complain about how they ain't got all day to figure clues, and basically moan about
wanting the answer without any effort! Gad, it's a wonder anybody releases ANY kind of freebie,
or awesome sales, with all the whining and bitching going on. SIGH. Ok, rant over. I followed
the link, Acadia, and you didn't miss a thing. They guessed the password, but all the moaning
and crying made the thread a difficult read. :)

Alisa ( ) posted Sun, 08 April 2007 at 9:09 PM

Most of the "moaning and crying", at least on my part, was NOT because the clues took effort.

Poser Science (I suspect unintentionally) didn't MENTION a password for one of the clues, and it wasn't something easy to figure out .  They also (in this case I'm SURE unintentionally) chose to compress the file with a compression that only a few very new versions of particular programs could unzip.  Even after getting the password figured out and then trying to unzip it, using slightly older versions of the programs, it wouldn't work.

And I've been VERY vocal, as others have, about thanking Poser Science for all the freebies.

Cheers,
Alisa

Hmmmm. That IS possible. I actually looked at all the clues and could make no sense of
them at all. With all the freebies in the bag, I have to wonder what the clues are all about.
As to whining, it wasn't so much you. There were others there who DID feel it wasn't worth
the effort. Then they'll whine if it's something only those who solve the puzzle will get. SIGH.
A complaint about something legit (which you did have), is very different from whining that
something is too hard and not worth it, only to whine that you were slighted when the solvers
of the puzzle get their prize. (which others were doing, and will do once it's over.) It's almost
funny how predictable people are. I've seen this countless times over the last seven years.
:)

Alisa ( ) posted Sun, 08 April 2007 at 11:10 PM

Oh, good.  I s'pose I was feeling that I was one that you were referring to, and didn't want to be considered a whiner 😊.  I really try not to do that..

I've also seen people complain about all sorts of stuff - including reebies (which I definitely can't understand), so I know what you mean.

I can't figure out what in the dickens the clues mean, either..or what the end result is.  There are some cool images and videos and links, though, in addition to the free products, so I'm a happy camper (especially since I got that password protected clue unzipped!!) 😄

Cheers,
Alisa
