Subject: Ask....Where is the Screen Capture in Photoshop?

JAYBEEH ( ) posted Sun, 25 March 2007 at 7:46 AM · edited Wed, 04 December 2024 at 3:04 PM

HI,
I've been asked by a friend to explain the process I used to produce an image I posted recently.....In the past I have found the "Screen Capture" in Paint Shop Pro to be very usefull for giving tips & tricks to others....I'm sure that Photoshop CS2 must have the same kind of "Screen Capture" option but I ca'nt seem to find it anywhere......Can anyone tell me where it is????....
            Thanks,
                        Jeff.

Photoshop doesn't have a screen capture.

For PC, you can use the PrintScreen button to capture a screen, and then make a new image in Photoshop and Paste it in.

Using Ctrl and Alt and Shift with Printscreen will give you different results, play around with them :)

Alternately, if they have Photoshop, couldn't you just send them the .psd file with a written description of what you did. I find that I have learned a fair bit from even just examining the .psd file alone.. ...

Hello Jaybee...

I totally agree with NomiGraphics.. On your image you want to capture, press the print screen and in your photoshop program, open/create new document and hit CONTROL+V on it to paste.

Thank you for the post and hope you won't find any difficulties :) Have a nice day

If I want actual screen capture, I use GrabClipSave from Boumchalak... it's free, and I find it useful. Link follows. Lou.    OOps.... it's above.

What do you mean by "Actual Screen Capture"?

I could not find a program called " GrabClipSave " from the link you provided.
