Subject: Making shiny patterns on character skin

Hello!

I tried to use David and his bodysuit to create a pattern where a part of the skin is shini and part is not. I made a transparency map for the bodysuit, that has the pattern that i want to be shiny andthen adder reflection to the bodysuit, but not the skin. For some reason even the areas of the bodysuit that are not visible (because of the transparency map) are still shiny. So it addes a shiny surface on whole of the body, not just the areas I want.

Is there someone who could tell me what I´m doing wrong or if there is another way to create this kind of effect on the skin.

Thank you very much in advance.

P.S Im not a very advanced user, so the simpler the better ;)

If your're using P5/P6/P7, you don't need transparency. Just make a map where shiny parts are white, other black. Attach the map to "Alternate Specular", not "Reflection".
