Subject: Just a quick plant question

thlayli2003 ( ) posted Tue, 27 March 2007 at 5:37 PM · edited Tue, 26 November 2024 at 5:02 AM

I have looked thru the Forum and might have missed the answer to this.

Once a plant is modified, can I use it in an ecosystem?  Not just as a vob. but as a .veg.
I'm trying to do hanging tree roots/vines.  A dead tree applied to a terrain or object makes a good root/vine when the object is flipped over.
I want to stretch the tree to make it tall and thin and change the color/texture.

Any ideas?

If this is answered somewhere else please post the link.  :):)

Yes. If you have edited a .veg just save it as such :)

Thanks dlk30341 I kept trying to 'save plant' instead of 'save plant species'.  Duh...

Hi guys,
I'm completely new to this program trying to do a project...
I wanted to do the same, change the attributes on the veg. plant file and use it for eco system or paint plant using brush within VUE.
Now...  where do I actually find the "save plant"  and "save plant species" option   ?
I know this might be a such basic question but it'll be great if I can get some help.. Thank you  ^^

If I'm not mistaken you need V6I or Esprit with the Botanica module.  See attached.  Just double click on the plant to bring up the editor.
