Subject: Oops Wrong way Wall Texture

Alex, to answer your question about the wall and its texture in my latest piece.

The wall is made of 1 Terrain, 4 Rocks, and 2 Lattice. All have the same texture I've used successfully in some other images. "Centre" is one of them. I got the texture from a set of CDs I purchased. "Total3D Texture CD". There are some close matches to these textures on the "Lemog" site and the "Mayang" site.

Thanks for sharing your technique. I've just checked out those sites - they're great! Never seen them before so thanks for those too.

Here is a render of just the wall. Occasionally the mats don't wrap well on stones, but I left it and touched it up in post. It is possible to exchange a rounded terrain for the rocks.

I originally had a cube as the back center piece, but the texture appeared to lay flat.

When using the textures from those sites, you may want to create a duplicate of each, make a grayscale copy, sharpen and or adjust the levels to create a bump map.

Enjoy
