Subject: File hostsite ?

I've been thinking about opning a file host site for 3d artists to have thire 3d free stuff hosted renderotica and renderosity dont host files so maby there are a need for it.

The site it self will just be a place to browse free stuft and download...The artist who own the item can hotlink the download to renderosity renderotica ore where ever thy want.

I just wonderd if there is such a place ore is it worth the effort and time to make it ?

Hey wishmaster I have my freebies on such a site. Right now there are only 4 of us at this time and the site is hosted by a very wonderful guy named Doug. The site is called "The Poser Props Emporium" and works very much like your idea. However, I do believe that there is always room for more people like yourself who wish to help other host their free items.

If you've got unlimited bandwidth, go for it. Decent free hosting is always appreciated.

lol not unlimited bandwidth Karen but extreme cheap bandwidth...!

 I'm looking at some fileshare scripts and let you know as soon as I got it online and ready for use :)

Just the script I was looking at jumpstartme2 :) I have registrede a domain and am waiting for it to be ready I think I have a host site ready in 2-3 days time i'll post a link here then :)

Ok I've made the site and uploaded it to temp sub-domain my host cant get this done before arfter this hollyday :( but that dont matter much becaus all files uploaded will be moved to the new server once it's ready.

Once I've moved the site to it's owen domain I'll make a pictur host for your thumbs also.
