If you wanted dynamic (strands) hair have a look at Adorana's hair,available here at renderosity free. In particular the Baronie or Calcaria hair. They may not be curley enough or long enough but that can be adjusted in the hair room if you are willing to play around a bit. (Would take longer to render but looks so much better).
