Subject: Poser 6 Freezes my computer!

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place for this.  I have been having trouble lately, ever since the last windows update, with my computer completely freezing up.  At first, I just thought it was a typical PC thing and ran a virus scan, disk check, etc.  However, it kept happening.

I uninstalled Poser 6, as I had at one point got booted from it and thought a corrupted file might be causing the issue.  Well, the computer worked great until I reinstalled Poser 6 then bam! everything froze again, even when I do not have Poser running.

Anybody seen anything like this?  I have Norton Antivirus and thought it might be causing the issue.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

One thing I would suggest doing is to reinstall the latest drivers for your graphics card just in case.

Also, make sure you have the latest service release for P6.  And you might try moving from Norton Antivirus to something less memory intensive.  I use AVG after my Norton started causing crashes with my Poser 7 and Vue.

Thanks all.  I took off Norton and got AVG.  Alos updated my drivers and PG to lateset SR3.  Still seems like I am having performance issues, but at least I can do something.
