Attached Link: Scott Ayers' Godzilla (and other) models
Scott Ayers' "Godzilla: Final Wars" figure is once again publicly available. Last Fall, EnglishBob volunteered to host Ayers' various dinosaur, kaiju and misc. character files. Unfortunately, Scott's "Final wars" figure was not among them. Earlier this week, I found the original zip file complete with "readme" statements upon my hard drive. I contacted EnglishBob and he readily agreed to accept the file and thus complete the collection. Earlier today, he uploaded the file at his Morphography site. One can download it at the link provided.
I posted a similar announcement upon the DAZ forums, but since not everyone visits them, I thought I should post here as well.
Now, let's see some rubber-suited, monster mash renders!
Sincerely,
Bill

I don't use Poser anymore. But there's a guy begging me to convert this Godzilla concept design I came up with to Poser for him.
It's a combination of the Gino CGI design with the saurian look of the Toho rubber suit versions.
The kind of thing I was hoping to see in G98.
Right now I'm not sure about the design look of the back fins. I'm struggeling with designers block.
But If I get around to converting it to Poser. I'll give you guys a copy to play with.

A fascinating fusion of the two concepts! Yes, I would have warmed up far more to a design similar to that. Thanks for showing us, and thank you in advance should you decide to "Poser-ize" and share the model!
Sincerely,
Bill

Quote - Do you guys still want this?
What e-mail address should I send it to?
I would be very much interested, yes!
I'm sending you a private message with my e-mail link.
I have a question. Is that meant to be the earlier, "declined" design for the American Godzilla, one presented during the early 90s? It looks amazingly like the conceptual drawings I've seen here and there.
Sincerely,
Bill

I'm on a slow dial up connection so I'd rather not e-mail it out too much. Even at just over 1meg. it takes a long time to e-mail it. So if English Bob is willing to host it that would be the best option.
To answer your question. Yes I did use that old Delgado concept as the basis for this. But with a few changes.
Someone sent Ricardo Delgado some of my W.I.P. on it and he said he liked it a lot. So I named it a Delgadosaurus in his honor.

Okay, that's fine. I can wait. That way, anyone interested can obtain it.
Wow! Getting a "thumbs up" from the original designer! There's a feather for your cap!
Sincerely,
Bill

I haven't updated the download page yet, but the file is now available. You should be able to download it here (try this one first): Delgadosaurus (1.2MB) or, if my DNS problems prevent it, from here: Delgadosaurus (1.2MB)

I haven't created any kind of "bridging" geometry, nor have I tweaked the vertices of either figures' body parts to perfectly join each other. In preview mode, the gaps are quite embarrassing. But with the application of a custom Poser 6 "'Zilla" displacement material, the flaws have been effectively hidden. I certainly didn't expect it to work this well.
For giggles, I employed a backlit text effect, film scratches, and "noise" to create film "grain".
BTW, there's nothing wrong with ScottA's model. His is a faithful recreation of Goji' as he appeared in his latest film. I just prefer a more reptilian head upon the "King of the Monsters", which led to this experiment.
Sincerely,
Bill
