Subject: How can I add realistic pubic hair to 'vanilla' textures?

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

Ok first off I've already tagged for nudity in case someone posts an example or two to my question ;-)

I have some textures (some free and some from purchases) that for whatever reason come without any pubic hair, making for some rather twee poses to cover this fact

So, what Photoshop brushes, merchant resources, etc., would people suggest so that I can add that little something that is missing, or, for that matter, to 'enhance' what these textures already have?

Also, I have little artistic talent and no Wacom products, so anything more than the most elementary of painted effects is out of the question

TIA for all suggestions - M

There is a pubic hair prop in the free stuff area here.  You can forgo altering the texture and apply the prop in Poser.

OT... Still laughing..... I know there are even moles available, but occasionally I get blindsided by something that's perfectly reasonable.... If you can't laugh at yourself, your shorts are probably too tight. Lou.

DQS makes an excellent pubic hair prop that can easily be adapted to any figure. It is available in the free downloads section here.

Go get the free Alphaworks plugin for photoshop.

Use the Lasso tool to select the Pubic Hair area, on a brunette texture.  Copy. Paste, onto a new layer.

Edit > Image Adjust > Desturate.

Edit > Image Adjust > Invert

Edit > Image Adjust > Levels, to get the blacks Black, and whites White.

Use the Alphaworks plugin to clear away all of the black and grey.

Now add a lyaer under the Paste Layer and fill it with Black.

Make a copy of the Paste Layer, and reorder it over the Black Layer.  With the Paste copy Layer selected click:

Layer > Merge Down.

Select > All.

Switch to your Channels tab.  Create a new Channel.  Name it Hair Clip.  Select > All, and Edit > Paste.  Edit > Image Adjust > Invert.

Switch back to your Layers Tab, and toggle the Visibility off, for any layer above the original texture.

Make a copy of the original texture.

Use the Clone tool to put skin where her pubic hair was.

FInd an nice image of blonde hair, and use th Eydropper tool to select that color.

Go back to the original file, nd add a new Layer of the Texture copy layer.

Edit > FIll(With the Blonde Color)

Select > Load Selection > Hair Clip.

Edit > Clear.

You're entirely welcome, ThrommArcadia!

The line:

*"Go back to the original file, nd add a new Layer of the Texture copy layer."
*should read:

"Go back to the original file, and add a new Layer over the Texture copy layer."

And the Levels step should be easier one step earlier, but could work either way.

Lisbeth has two sets of brushes here which you can use to add pubes to an existing texture map, or place directly on your render (depending on pose, camera angle, etc)
