Subject: Soft body dynamics (ore even faking it) in P6?

raz ( ) posted Tue, 24 April 2007 at 3:53 PM ยท edited Tue, 21 January 2025 at 6:18 PM

I read long ago, someone was playing the clothc room for body parts.
is there any sucesses in this realm that oanyone knows of?
i dont understand the cloth room too much, but have bumpmapping finally down pat and get a pretty good effect with painted on stuff to body textures. Still, Id like to learn some possible soft body dynamics for the the bum during a walk cycle, thighs, breasts, etc...
also, a jiggly, wiggly, floppy tricep (just kidding about that one)..
any help would be great on ideas on this.

Poser Physics is a product for this, I think, Face_Off is the author.

I do have poser physics. I havent seen how I can use it for dynamics tho, just gravity.
Ill read the destructions in it once more..

Good to see you too, thefixer. Yes its been a while. I come here everyday pretty much, just havent posted in a bit.
;)
cheers~

I haven't seen anything for soft body dynamics (Poser Physics is for rigid body dynamics).

The closest thing is probably ockham's Jiggles script, which requires morphs.
It's described in http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=1682114
and http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=1671230
(this is the post-upgrade style link for the one that appears in the first thread).

Make sure you download from VP, as that's the most upto date version.

This is one of the more requested features for the next version.

Check for "Soft Bodies" in the tutorial section, there is one by a RajDArge that goes into it. Be warned tho that the articale centers on deformation of body parts and contains a lot of nudity, still the basic concepts are sound.

Deformation and NUDITY? I am SO there !
snicker!
thanks all... so far.
Ive tried Ockhams jiggles. seems to work some on other parts too like thighs and glutes.
