Once the terrain is loaded press the "E" icon to the right. Once in the editing room press "Ctrl D" to export to 3ds, obj etc.

Hi Again

I followed your instructions above, I can load it as a create object terrain but can not see the E you speak off above.

M then U  no E for edit room.

Can you tell what I can do.

Thanks Rowlando

Here is what I get when I load a terrain in Bryce 6.

Thanks Mystic-nights

Yep, I don't get that display on the OBP file I load.

I think you cannot export anything except terrain as a different file such as I want, not sure if its true.

Could you open an OBP file and try export as obj for me to see if its true.

Thanks Rowlando

in a word...no. Best thing to do with your stable of programs is to make .obj files in Wings 3d, and import them into Poser. 2 tips- bevel all edges about .02 or so, to keep them straight on import, and scale; Poser scale is much smaller than everyone else's. If you have Wings 3d questions, stop by the Wings forum and ask.

Yes, I went to "Create" and added a Terrain. Then once in the Edit room clicked Ctrl D and exported as an obj. It worked fine in Poser. Here is a post at Daz on exporting from Bryce.

Hi Mystic-nights

Thanks so much,

Back to Bryce 5  well, maybe I am adding the OBP incorrectly ( I find it in the create pannel click and press return to load)

But when I see it in the scean the E is really missing from the list. I have looked at the link you supplied and giving it another go, any other suggestions please.

You are loading the OBP correctly, i.e., from the Create Library.

Does the loaded object have a "U" next to it? If so, then it is a group and may contain a Bryce primitive, which cannot be exported unless you are using Bryce 6 - which is why there is no "E" next to the object.

In Bryce 6, if the loaded object is a group, click on the "U" button to ungroup it, then select each object in the group and set them to positive, select all the objects and group them again. Next, click on the "C" button that will show up next to the new group and then export the converted group using File > Export.

Hello Jelisa

I have been trying but getting some very poor results, I think I am doing somthing wrong in the process can I ask you to explane it again as you have above in detailed steps for someone who is not used to Bryce.

I the file menu I can select all or deselect all, this has been the only way I could do any of the above, is their a place where all the sections of the objects are shown as names etc??

Please if you could explane the process in detail I am sure I could do it, my conversions are upside down and distorted.

Thanks Rowlando
