Subject: Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines

OK, first of all, I am aware of the space marines in the freebie section at Vanishing Point. However, I seem to remember that there were other space marine models out there. Those ones seemed mroe realistically proportioned, and the gadgets were a bit more detailed. I believe one of them was even a MkVI marine (the old 'beakie').

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Where can I get hold of these models again?

we can't tell you directly... but goto the place that sells Vickie.. to the forums there and look for 40,000 there. I was not here, this conversation did not happen.

Thanks, that's a great help. But those aren't the marines I'm looking for. I'm talking about models that were already finalised. I believe that they were on an independent site.

I think that traveller did some at one time IIRC, no idea where they are now though.

Traveler over at RDNA?

pdblake ( ) posted Tue, 24 April 2007 at 1:41 AM

I believe so. The Traveler that used to do all those P4 morphs years ago, used Amorphium I believe.

Then again I could be confusuing him with someone else completely:)

It might be worth firing him an email though.

I do seem to remember downloading them. I probably have them on a CD somewhere, I'll have a look around later, got to go to work now though:)

Here is a link to the daz thread with the obi wan marines link, it is about three quarters down the page, I hope this is not against the barmy new rules here.

Thanks, but that's what Khai was talking about**.** Besides I can't download from store & serve, and no one will mirror it :(

pdblake ( ) posted Tue, 24 April 2007 at 2:26 PM

Well I've had a look, for the past 2 hours:) Sorry, can't find them anywhere. I distinctly remember downloading them from Morphworld, which I believe is/was traveller's site. I just looked and it's now called Morphworld 3, it was 2 back then IIRC.

There was a base space marine figure and a couple of add ons for it to make a few different figures and I'm pretty sure there was a vehicle, some kind of tank, blue with a sort of row of spikes along the frint. For some reason the name Rhino comes to mind, but it was so long agai that I might just be getting completely addled:)

Still, might be worth asking him:)

zulu9812 ( ) posted Tue, 24 April 2007 at 3:03 PM

could they be in the props club?

pdblake ( ) posted Tue, 24 April 2007 at 3:16 PM

not even sure what the props club is:)

obiwans space marines have both the older armour and the newer armour...you change the visibility of the props in the heirachy editor

You might want to check out Xurge's store too. I know xurge has made some awesome space marines.
