Subject: Started a MySpace Poser Group

I only recently started a MySpace account and looked to see if there was a Poser group there and surprisingly found none. I figured that I ought to create one.

There's not much there yet, but that's largely up to the Poser community.

Or Livejournal, or BlogSpot. Anything but the scourge to humanity that is MySpace.

To be honest, I'm not trying to convert anybody to MySpace as much as let MySpace Poser users know that there is now a group for them. Had there already been a Poser group, I would not have bothered creating one.

There's no reason why the biggest social networking internet site shouldn't have a Poser group. Nor is there any reason why any other social networking group shouldn't have a Poser group.

Had I come here and said that MySpace wouldn't let me create a Poser group because there is already a generic 3D art group, how many people would be grabbing pitchforks and torches and be ready to wage war against MySpace.?

I still would, it's a blight on the face of the earth.

Heehee Drfterlee! I've contemplated doing just that as a kind of virtual performance art hoax on MySpacers. Create say, a guy and also a set of buddies and girlfriends, maybe a poser dog or cat. Show him hugging a Miki or whatever...etc. Could be hilarious!

Metabog! Yes, in my spare and boring time I once posted a generic teen girl portrait and made up a phony profile. The results were hilarious. I am so evil when I'm bored.

there is some guy near here who has signed up dozens of fake accounts as "hot girls" and, for a fee, he will set them to be one's "friends" in myspace, for those who don't know any "hot girls". in addition, I heard that the government was gonna set up a website concerning the spread of venereal diseases, but they found out that myspace was already on the job

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Who needs to pay for fake friends at MySpace (and, yah, I know it was a joke)? I've got a dozen identical fake profiles sitting in my request box to be approved. MySpace had a notice that one spammer had software that created 150,000 profiles and have taken him to court. Spammers focus on the biggest groups the same way that hackers focus on the mostly widely used browser.

I've only had a profile there for a couple weeks, so I have no idea if it'll be worth it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
