The green animal was about the size of my thumb.
The camera decided that the window screen was the most important part of the
image that should be in focus. Click on the image to see how well the camera
recorded the screen instead of what I expected.
The camera is a Nikon 4300 that I purchased in 2003 -- something you buy
now or later could have better software. YMMV

Looking at buying a compact, I homed in on the Fujifilm Finepix F31fd. Has anyone here used one? They seem to do alot of shouting about its face detection ability, it can recognise up to 10 faces in the shot and optimise the settings to give the best results. It also boasts up to ISO 3200 at full resolution, so its good in low light conditions too. Is this at a compromise with other features I wonder? I used a fujifinepix F700 for a few years and couldn't fault it, so that, and having a few Xd cards and batteries compatible with this makes me think I'll try and get one.
Any thoughts or tips appreciated? How does it fare with landscape photography I wonder?
