Subject: Making ruler measure in pixels...?

DarkEdge ( ) posted Sun, 29 April 2007 at 9:22 AM · edited Sat, 18 January 2025 at 5:08 AM

Hi all!

If my document is 1024x768 in size how do I get the ruler to show that along the sides in pixels?

So along the top edge the ending number would be 1024 and along the left the ending number would be 768?

Thanks!

Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Units & rulers and set the ruler units to pixels. If the coordinates of the top left corner are not 0,0 then display the rulers and double-click in the top left corner of the rulers to make them so.

correct.

I can't tear my self away from using pixel rulers.. it is great stuff!

from the left  to the right, the ruler seems to always flow  from negative numbers, to zero then to positive numbers.

from top to bottom,  the ruler seems to always flow from negative numbers, to zero then to positive numbers.

i like my positive diection to be, up and right ./  instead  phothop is  right and down .

Shortcut: Right-click on the ruler itself, and you'll get a menu of units. :)
