Subject: Converting C4D files to .obj

Acadia ( ) posted Sun, 29 April 2007 at 1:20 AM · edited Wed, 15 January 2025 at 8:11 AM

I was looking for some props and I found the perfect ones!!!! The problem is that they are in C4D format sobs

I don't have C4D. Is there a free program that can convert these files to .obj format?

If you have no luck maybe a C4D user will convert them for you.

(I have C4D)  😄

Except for the very archaic C4D V5 conversion support (like in Deep Exploration), there is no way to convert a C4D file without C4D - and the appropriate version to boot!  Older versions of C4D (like 6 CE) can't load newer version files - so R9.6 won't load R10 files.

As noted, you can get a C4D user to convert (I have a copy or two myself). ;)

Have the converter use Riptide to do the export to OBJ - it is the only good way to import/export OBJ files in C4D.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

Maybe she found help elsewhere?

Sorry I haven't gotten back here.  Someone converted them to .obj for me yesterday. Thanks to everyone who offered.
