If you don't mind me saying so, I think that the design is flawed. Assuming that the whole pilot fits inside the torso, there's no way he'd be able to mechanically manipulate finger joints.

That's because he doesn't pilot it in the conventional way.

The pilot is in a foetal position fully enclosed in the torso, with a direct neural jack to control the suit. :D
