Do a search at Daz3D for songbird remix.  I know there were some models of Purple Martins in some of those collections.

Aslo check out the link and email the owner of the site and ask if he has any 3d models of swallows.

What type (species) of swallow are you looking for? Perhaps I "might" create another for the ReMix series

Not sure what type andrew is looking for but I'd like to see one of a tree swallow.  The little jokers are thick as ticks on a dogs back this year where I live.  Also a Barn swallow......:)

just the everyday swallow you find in the western states or europe

A tree swallow is a pretty easy one to do--- barn swallow is more diffcult due to markings-- but do-able.  I'm supposed to be starting my next Songbird Project  "Motherhood"  (baby birds, eggs, nests etc)-- but have promised a couple free parrots to promote my "Parrots of the World" package (DAZ release any day now)-- I could squeeze in a swallow or two into that work session-- we'll see....

I'll report back in a couple days to this thread

I'm done... it will take my a day or so to package and upload it to my freebies but the Tree Swallow is now part of the Songbird ReMix family.

It should be ready to download Saturday morning (PST) in my Freebies Section (http://www.empken.com/downloads/downloads2.html) and required the Songbird ReMix model to work.  Also check my Songbird ReMix FAQ for Vue and Bryce use (there will be an important update to that on Saturday as well).

Ken the male tree swallow has dark breast feathers.  this is a good example of the female you have posted. :)

Thanks. The tree swallow is up in my downloads now. If you use it outside of Poser or DS be sure to download the Export Fix.

Tree Swallows.... Actually this is a 50-50 on male/female. The major difference between male and female Tree Swallow is the bluish sheen found on the male species.  I think by increasing the reflective properties with a turquoise color will emulate the male species. Tree Swallows with a darkish patch on the breast are most likely juvenilles according to the Sibley Guide...what swallow does have a dark band across the breast is the Bank Swallow.  For more about Tree Swallows, audio and some pictures check out Cornell's "All about Birds" (http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Tree_Swallow.html)

The tree swallow was fun-- I might try more-- the bank swallow is a easy map change to the tree swallow and the barn swallow with the orange head would be cool.

I got both tree swallows and a colony of purple martins in my back yard along with some barn swallows in my barn.
The tree swallows I have in my boxes are the male ismuch darker than the female and I know some or a few yrs old.  I dont know the life span so might be new ones taking over older ones boxes each year. :)
I can take some pics when the rain is over if you need any for comparsion. :)

I've increased the species of Songbird ReMix Swallows-- now there's the American Male and Female Barn Swallow, the eurasian Barn Swallow, the Bank Swallow and the Tree Swallow... there's all together in my freebies under the heading "Big Gulp-- or a bunch of swallows"
