Subject: Image removed by moderator...

guslaw ( ) posted Sun, 06 May 2007 at 9:13 PM · edited Sat, 28 September 2024 at 5:08 PM

One of my few images has been removed by a moderator for supposedly violating the TOS regarding child nudity,

The image in question was titled "Shoo - Go away". I DO NOT agree that the figure in my image was that of a child or adolecent and I strongly object to the removal of that image.

Is there any any recourse or review of these decisions (image removal) or are we at the mercy individual moderators and their personal interpretation (or mis-interpretation) of the TOS?

Sorry for the rant but I am mildly pissed - (this image was doing pretty well for me, over 20 comments, added as 'favority image' (and artist) by a number of viewers and 500-some-odd views in 2-3 days - that's a lot for me)

Site mail Clint and ask him to review the image for you.  Not sure if it'll make any difference but that's what I'd do as long as I was certain the character didn't look like a child and contain nudity.

Guslaw,

Again, Images are reviewed by several staff members, its not just one staffer making decisions. Please send a mail to the admins if you disagree with the image removal.

Are you using Thorne morphs with Aiko, they give the head a "child-like" quality, ie. larger eyes.  A "child-like" head on any body, even if obviously adult, will be clasified as a "child" by Rendo. This is regardless of the rest of the body's proportions

Yep, even if the figure has 99 ZZZZ sized boobs, if the face looks child-like, the image is classified "child".  I've seen some images that have very adult looking bodies, but the face is very obviously twelve to thirteen-ish.

When I was co-ordinating, I usually recommended to people in situations like this, that if they are using Aiko to run the images by the staff first before uploading it so that's it's pre-approved. Taking the time to do that will save getting images removed and marks on your record.  I can't say who, but there are a number of members who choose to do it that way because ultimately in the end  it's up to the staff to decide by majority vote whether an image in question  is "child" or "not child" and if it should stay or be removed from the gallery.
