Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 22 9:27 pm)
Very odd. That happened to all of someone's texture library recently.

*To PhilC: * It's Win XP. I always log in in the same way, so I suppose that that means I am doing so as the administrator. Certainly, the way I was logged in when I originally installed Poser 7 will have been the same as the way in which I was logged in when the problem occurred.
*To mylemonblue: * That other link does look similar. I have given PC Inspector a go, without dramatic results, so far. Since I have the Poser installation file and the content installation files, I have probably pretty well replaced what was lost already, but I wouldn't want to think that I could be randomly losing folders from now on. Losing the textures folder (as in the linked thread) would be the kind of nightmare that nightmares have nightmares about.
I have an open question to the community. Does anyone remember the actual date of that last ultra critical update for XP/Vista?
I didn't notice this kind of thing happening after P7's last patch but it seems this first started right around the time of that last big ultra critical XP/Vista security update. That kind of gives me the willies.

The Props library content from my Poser 7 runtime abruptly vanished and I can't tell why. The Props folder itself did not disappear, so I hadn't accidentally either deleted or moved the folder as a whole. None of the content has appeared in the recycle bin, (or as far as I can see, in any other runtime). Again, as far as I can see, the other Poser 7 libraries seem intact, as do the other runtimes in general.
I've re-installed Poser 7 and anything G2-related which had props in it, so I am roughly back to where I was before, but I'd be quite keen for this not to happen again.
Does anybody have any ideas, please?
