Hello everyone on this fine spring day! What a great response you have all given to this spring contest, and beautiful images as well, I was dazzled when I popped in here today to check the progress. In order to maintain orderly bi-monthly contest schedule, today will be the last day for entries. I will post all the enttrants images tomorrow, and the voting will begin. Thanks again for all your support. My mom is doing well, but is in a major depression because one eye is grossly different looking than the other, and it appears that she will look this way permanently. We are simply trying to buoy her spirits, and have her understand that the important thing is that she can see. Its a hard pill to swallow. Syyd

Glad to hear she's on the mend, Syyd. When Chris was in hospital over xmas she was left with a 7" scar up her stomach that she couldn't come to terms with at first either - it's when they realise the alternative that the acceptance starts, and with the love & support of you all there I'm sure it won't take too long. Regarding the competition, judging this time ain't gonna be easy! The standard of all of the entries is brilliant! I wanna say well done to everyone too! It's awful to have to pick winners....!

I am glad your mother is in relative physical health. I understand what it is like to live with physical reminders of our brush with motality. Voting will be tough. I assume we don't vote for the winners of what ever group we are presenting within. Or do we and everyone assumes that we can be objective? Bsteph
