Has anyone else had this problem with this product: where you install it and then it keeps asking for a file you don't seem to have namely PantyHose_v4.obj ? I see the cr2 files in the zip and they installed ok under libraries in Poser 6 which is what I'm using but I keep being asked for the object files and to my knowledge they weren't included in the zip file. Any thoughts ??

were there maybe 2 files that needed downloaded? I have done that before. Only saw what I thought was one file

Yes there were but to my knowledge the "other" file that your speaking of is only if your installing it into DAZ Studio but just out of curiosity I downloaded it and it seemed to contain the exact same two files so now I'm really stumped. Thanks though for your response. At least someone is reading this!! haha

Best thing to do is email the vendor. YOu can also try to post in the Marketplace support forum but more than likely they will tell you to email the vnedor.

Wish I could have been more help

I have this product & it works fine.

The file you mentioned is included & in the following directory -

:Runtime/Geometries/Hongyu/JerseyHose/

**Anniebel....**yes I understand that and your absolutely correct. Thats where the files SHOULD be, however when I go to Runtime/Geometries there is no subfolder called Hongyu. Whats more, the only sub folder I see being created from the zip is one called Hongyu's JerseyDress under libraries/Character and thats where I saw the two cr2 files.

The only other files contained in the zip are for the templates the readme and the License. There are no object files or textures.

You haven't downloaded or installed both zips, there are 2

JerseyDress_V4_46799 - contains all the obj / cr2 / pose files etc

JerseyDress_V4_46799-DSpatch&Temp - contains the templates etc

Anniebel thank you! I saw the two files but I must of downloaded and installed the same file twice and only thought I had downloaded both because now its working fine except that I'm getting those annoying "poke throughs" that Hongyu said would happen if you loaded the dress first. I loaded the stockings first but her thighs are sticking pocking through. Guess I'll just have to play with it some. Thanks again for your help.

dstephany, don't forget to magnetize the clothing for both the dress and pantyhose.
Pose>Daz's Victoria 4>Magnetize to V4
Also make sure you have turned off Inverse Kinematics.
You will get pokethrough in "extreme" poses but the above steps should minimize the effects.

Karen....I'm not following you. Magnetize???? Where is that ?? In the Pose Menu ?? I only have Victoria 4 base. Is that something found in the morphs pack ??

dstephany ( ) posted Tue, 15 May 2007 at 11:11 AM

Oh....wait!! Ok, I found it!! Yes its here on the pose menu but...gosh there are all these different choices like 1 through 9. Does it matter which one I pick ??

mayhem72 ( ) posted Tue, 15 May 2007 at 11:18 AM

if there is only one V4 use the one without a number, if moore than one use the numbers to match. hope you understand..

"don't forget to magnetize the clothing for both the dress and pantyhose.
Pose>Daz's Victoria 4>Magnetize to V4"

  Magna....wha?

Ok this let's everyone know how up I am on V4, do we need to do this everytime we use V4?  And the noob question of the day...what does it do?  I've looked in the readme, but, it doesn't really explain a whole lot.

KarenJ ( ) posted Tue, 15 May 2007 at 12:13 PM

How to magnetize the clothing:
Select the piece of clothing
Go to Pose library>Daz's Victoria 4 folder
Select "Magnetize to V4" if there is just one figure in the scene.
If you have two V4s, then for the clothing on the first one, double-click the "Magnetize to V4 1", for the second figure, apply the "Magnetize to V4 2" etc.
Remember to apply the magnetize pose to the clothing and not V4 herself.
Also you should magnetize the clothing before posing the figure for best results.

Basically, it helps clothing follow V4 as you pose her.

That's my "very quick and simple" explanation. It involves JCMs (joint control morphs) which I am no expert on, but my essential understanding is that they work automatically as you pose the figure to minimise joint distortion and mimic how the human body works as you move.
