Cool release... Here's some Blender rendered gifts for coders!

(Yes, I'm S-L-O-W-L-Y learning to use modeling tools. I have liked what I learned, however...)

OMG, I only just got used to 2.43 :0

BTW, there's python 2.5.1 update too if you're still running 2.5.0 it fixes a few holes.....

**Gog_CA1, what holes? I have way too many Python scripts now running smoothly (in several apps). I do not want to break apps, at least when I do not know why. :)

Could you please tell, what are the benefits? Blender 2.44 seems to like my 2.5. Blender is important to me now, so I'm reasonably interested... :)**

Is there a Windows x64 version?  I saw the Linux 64 bit release, but not the Windows.

Gog ( ) posted Wed, 16 May 2007 at 1:29 AM

Hi Doomsday, the one that got me was the switch in error reporting from windows code to posix code, which has now been returned to windows error code....but also I used to get some issues with stability in really complex if statements which are now gone

Thanks, Gog_CA1, I think I'll keep previous version until I run into problems... (If it ain't broke and all that...) However, it seems that script development is so active that it may well be that I need to update.

Otherwise, not one hiccup from 2.44 yet, and I have imported some weird stuff... (Mixed bag of Shade and Inkscape stuff.) Even Sunflow likes it. (Well at my n00b level at least.)

"Is there a Windows x64 version? I saw the Linux 64 bit release, but not the Windows" I use x64 and the windows version runs fine with the exception of importing/exporting .3DS where I get script errors even with Python installed. Ver 2.43 imports just fine though, so it looks like I will keep using both versions for now as I like the new features of 2.44.
