To make the card suits in e.g. Windows Paint, go into text mode, select the "Symbol" font, select font size and NOT bold or italic; then while holding the ALT key down type on the right keypad 167 for club, 168 for diamond, 169 for heart, 170 for spade. (Sorry, the Symbol font doesn't contain J or Q, as its letters are Greek.)
Oops, just realized I did one that someone else had already called. Sigh. It's been one of those years, ya know? I know we're also not getting too carried away with it, since hey, the more the merrier, but I didn't mean to do one that someone else had called. That's what I get for being tired when reading and deciding which one I'd like to do. Sorry, LadySilverMage.
Wolfwithin's "official" backgrounds are at: http://13blackroses.shadowstaronline.com/hosted/SuitBGs.zip I have an alternate set at : http://digitaldreams.bbay.com/backgrounds2.zip The alternate set is double size, and there is a set of numbers in the Zip as well, which you can paste in. They are double size, so they should be resized to half size when you upload to the Poser gallery, the "official" size is 442 pixels x 620 pixels high. Keep a full size version though, for printing purposes. If you look at the cards already up you can see a lot of clever ways both backgrounds have been used. Anyway, I really think this is a fun project! I've suggested everyone include the words "card project" in their descriptions, so a search will turn them up. You can edit (I think you can anyway) your existing upload to include these words if you want, incidently. I'm doing the threes, I got 3 up, 1 to go, incidently!

Hrmm... looks like I missed out on this one. What's the next one... did I hear someone say "Tarot Cards"? wolf grin I want one of the major arcana in that game... Btw, just wanted to say that I've been browsing the card renders, and that's some fantastic work you all have been doing. ;]

Cool... I'll dibs on one once I go through my deck. I kind of like the empress, but I'm not sure if I have the right accoutrements for it. Can we get some one to do the background sets?

Can someone start a thread posting the images and links from the galleries already. This is a great project. I've learnt a few techniques to deal with white backgrounds just from seeing a few others' cards. I never do white bakgrounds since I love painting backgrounds!

I'm working on my last card now, I adapted the Posette's burster to SMV last night, so you know that will be in the cards! Anyway, let me make a suggestion, if we do another deck we could have a theme (which you wouldn't have to actually follow), and I think maybe it should be pretty loose, maybe something like "girl/guy in trouble with nudity", what do you think? I also see a Tarot deck may be starting, but I'll pass on that, not my cup of tea. We could wait until that one finishes, like they really should wait until at least till the end of this month (or whenever all the requested cards are in, anyway) before they start actually putting them in the Gallery. Fair is fair!
Fair's ok... that wouldn't bother me, Jim - it'll be the end of the month before I have free time to render for fun anyway.

hiya, if someone isn't doing it already, i wouldn't mind putting up a page of thumbnails with all the cards in it, linked to the respective cards' gallery page. i thought this was a lot of fun and should be preserved somehow :) and have all the cards been done?

Hi...umm..I think I did one of the cards that is on the list at the top of this thread the day it came out:(...I'm really sorry but I had asked for it on the other thread and hadn't seen this one..anyway, I am just now realizing this is here and I just wanted to make a mention of it just in case so no one would think I just did it without asking, I really didn't know someone else thought they would be doing it too and was still refering to that other thread regarding this at that time...anyway, I just wanted to make sure everyone understood my intentions so that's pretty much it..:)hugs to all lynde
