Super site for some buildings, props, backgrounds and textures.

Hahah, Acadia, I already knew this before you! I bought their Baker St and Knights Chamber - just haven't used them yet. Very nice stuff.

I just bought the Baker Street set via PayPal for some Doctor Who renders. How long did you have to wait for your download link?

ohhh thanks for this !!!!!
but i have a question ...how to put the texture on the buildings?
with the grouping tool?

pakled ( ) posted Sat, 19 May 2007 at 8:20 PM

ah. Well, if'n I remember correctly, the textures are already mapped (though I think it's mainly the windows on Dystopia; I tried exporting the objects to Bryce, and it kept asking me for the locations of the textures).

If you load them as directed (there's a chart Doc Geep made that should be in one of the links on the title at the top of the forum), or, as some suggest, into a temp directory, they'll work, once they're moved. Usually there's one central file  for characters, etc, that has the directory names in it. By unzipping the file into Runtime [usually], everything you need goes to where it's supposed to)

Most things already have a texture on them.  You apply them using the files found in the "Pose" folder in the library.

If something doesn't have a texture on it and there are no texture files for it in the "Pose" folder in the Library, then you have to apply the texture in the material room. I believe I showed you my mini essay for new poser users. It includes links to tutorials and a picture of where the files go in poser, along with lots of other valuable information such as where to find things when you are in Poser.  I suggest reading through it again and perhaps bookmarking it for reference.
