Subject: Pregnant figure in Version 7?

deddard ( ) posted Mon, 21 May 2007 at 6:20 AM · edited Tue, 04 February 2025 at 4:56 AM

I've just moved up from Poser 3 to Poser 7.
I need to create a pregnant figure, but can't find how to do it.  I came across a thread about a morph for the V4 figure, but I haven't been able to find anything in version 7 (including the V4 figures) - any ideas?
Switching from V3 to V7 is a bit of a learning curve, so any help appreciated.

"V4" is Victoria 4, a commercial Poser figure from www.daz3d.com.  "V3" usually refers to Victoria 3, a previous version of figure from the same company.  Both have a Pregnant morph.  As far as I know, you're not going to be getting Sydney pregnant without a fair amount of magnet work or seeing a fertility specialist.

Thanks for that - I could have been running aound like a headless chicken for ages there.
I'm just taking a look at Victoria to see what I've got to do to get her into Poser - More stuff to learn!

Victoria looks just the ticket - not just the pregnancy model, but the superficial muscle maps look pretty good too.
I mainly want this stuff to teach exercise techniques and show injuries as I'm a Sports Therapist, so I think I'm going to be doing a fair bit with the DAZ stuff as well as Poser.
I'm a complete newb to the 3d scene though, so I think I'll be asking lots of questions here......

This link is for the free DAZ base figure which include V3[

One difference between the figures you get with Poser and DAZ base figures:  the DAZ base only come with expression morphs (except for Hiro).  To make the pregnancy morph or really make use of the muscle morphs you will have to purchase head and body morph packs (either separately or bundled) for the Gen 3 figures.  V4 is even more piece meal as you have to get the Morphs+++ pack and the purchase the muscle morph pack separately.

Of note, if you are interested in V4, you only need to buy:
Morphs+
Muscel maps/morphs combined pack

The Morphs+ package includes the V4 base and won't do you any good, so don't buy the base if you're getting Morphs+.

Thanks for that.
I just had a look, and they're up to 4.1 now, which lists the V4.1 base as being an addition to the morphs.
The full pack (morphs plus 4.1 base) is of course more expensive - I guess they caught on to the fact that they were giving stuff away!

Just a quick update.
I did manage to get Jessi pregnant, without the use of IVF!
The results aren't perfect, but as I was having problems downloading Vicki (am in the UK, and it wasn't accepting my address) I decided to have a go at Jessi.
I managed to get a passable bump in the right place using the deform tools - the only drawback is there is a seam between the lower abdomen and hip areas.

It does it's job though, and the image will form part of my web-site's header shortly.
In the meantime, I've jsut got some help from tech support and they've sorted the address thing, so I will be able to play with Vicky after all.
