Radlafx, clowns have always scared me...who knows why.       I smile with trepidation. LOL

TomDart ( ) posted Mon, 21 May 2007 at 8:07 PM

The woodpecker is either a Hairy or a Downy.   The Downy is smaller.  These are very tough to tell the difference unless together.  It is not Woody Woodpecker..he is  pileated woodpecker.

Ok, so this is a gallery imaqe..posted today.   I put it here not to get "views" but because I do like the simple clean childhood this image shows. That is why here.

We were at a church picnic and at the end sat around and sang some songs. This little girl settled down from running all over the hill, in the grass next to her mom.   I remember going barefoot.   That was nice.   Now, my toenails are too beautiful to show and my feet too tender to run like did this child.

Interesting, a simple child resting from a day at play....111 views and 5 comments.  No, disappointed the lurkers. This is a lovely child, no more.

Me too. The grass seem to be trying to express themselves with it. :) Here is a photo of a photographer going to great lengths to get the right angle. Sorry that it is a little overexposed. Nothing special here, just a shot with a mood I like.

Graffiti(graffito) painter did this.   From the 13th floor of out hotel, shot through the window, here is a gang tag on the 7th floor of a building ready for demolition or extensive redo.   How? The painter either went up or went down from the top to do this one!

From below, the painting is pretty high up!  This was certainly a challenge to some other gang, perhaps.

Radlafx ( ) posted Mon, 28 May 2007 at 11:08 AM

Tom, looks like the graffiti artist got really high 😉

Question the question. Answer the question. Question the answer...

I wish I knew what I was gonna say :oP

The Viewer family and kids visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.   I think they left one kid at the zoo.

mamabobbijo ( ) posted Mon, 28 May 2007 at 7:12 PM

I'm still chuckling! Thanks Tom.

TomDart ( ) posted Mon, 28 May 2007 at 8:32 PM

After thinking about it, I believe the Viewer family left 4 of their kids at the zoo, one  was wearing speedos.  The others were lined up in front of the zebras.

Sorry, I was offline for a few days....venting is needed.

TomDart ( ) posted Mon, 28 May 2007 at 8:35 PM

Awjay, I have lots of cemetary shots...some are quite touching. Yours is a fine image.

I find it more difficult to find cemetaries with stones and statues.. we look in older cities but not in newer places where all markers are flat bronze plates.  The statues tell so much..at least to our imaginations.         Tom.

Nice ones Tom and awjay. Here is another lily that didn't make the gallery cut. A diffusion filter was applied to soften it a bit, and no postwork was done to remove specs and such.

Of course, I was just kidding! :'] @Tom Two pints of anything, preferrably something with an alcohol content. ;'P It was an old Renny nickname, for a pint in each hand. It also work out because 2 pints = 1 quart, or 1 Kort if you like! ;'D I've been playing around with Anisotropic Diffusion in Photoshop recently. That is how I got the slight illustrative look to my gallery upload today. Here it is at full strength...rather a nice effect I think.

Hahahaha Barbara, good one. @Tom, "I have not heard of "Anisotropic Diffusion"" Go to your Filters menu if you have Photoshop and scroll down to the Stylize sub menu. Click on Diffuse... and you will get a menu at the bottom is Anisotropic Diffusion. I looked it up and it is a pretty technical stuff, but suffice to say is that for me, it makes it look like it was illustrated by paints or colored pencil. Here is a comparison example with the top being the non-filtered image. I am STILL finding things in Photoshop 12 years later that I've never used.
