Hi and help!  :)  I 've been working in Posr 5 for a few years and now have P6.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to render in the "render optios" at 300dpi at a size of 3000x3000 in a new window so that I can save it at that size as a PNG or Tif.  I like to work large!  Thanks to anyone who can help me with a step by step.  Barbara

It's not in the render options. Simply click on the "render" button just next to the "previsualisation" one on the main window. Here, click on the size, a new window will appear where you can change the desired size and resolution.
For the PNG save, it's filesave as after your render finished. Or click as to close your render, you will be asked if you want to save or not, here you can specify the format.

Hope it helps.

also under RENDER in the menu bar..RENDER DIMENSIONS.
You can match up the render box to the scene document window size, select DPI, and render size of document
