This is fantastic. It's been a while since I did any landscape... but you make me want to do some. This is a really nice WIP. I wonder how this looks with a city in the distance, instead of those distant mountains.

The only critical thing I could come up with was those clouds. They look great. To me they look like primatives with a volumetric cloud mat. They all looks good to me, except the far distant end of it... it abruptly ends. Beyond the clouds--the horizon--the sky doesn't have any other cloud. Maybe some clouds going off into the horizon?

I dont care how crappy... Just make a tutorial!!! :)  I see these kind of images but no tutorial on how to go about doing it.

Just a basic out line how its done would be nice.

What kinda Tut Fran? its just a lattice rock:-P and the finished piece is in the gallery called pride rock and such:-)

Well like Analog-X, I'm just interested to know how you made it.  I've come up with something faintly similar - in broad outline at least, but not as good - so I'd like to know how you did it, not just the rock - the whole thing.
