Hi all!

I just downloaded the Vue 6 trial version and installed it. Since I didn't want the content to be installed under my personal settings I changed the path. So far, so well, but Vue doesn't find the content any more, neither atmospheres nor vegetation nor materials. I have to locate them all manually (in the folder where I choose them to be installed!).
Is this a known issue?

Could it be that the problem is here that you have selected the same folder twice? For content the application folder.

I would try it first with another folder and see wether it makes a difference.

Und viel Erfolg damit!

Do you have to do this everytime? Or only once per type of object?

I always install my stuff in another folder.  I then use the New Collection button to add the stuff to the Browser.  I do have the add the specific folder for atmos, plants, etc. in each of the respective browsers.  But once I've done that, it's done.  It's worked that way since Vue 5 because I've done this a long time (at Wabe's suggestion, actually).

My Esprit Retail does not intall content anymore as Vue 5 did.  I do not know why they did this, but I had to copy the Extras CD on a second drive and have to get all of my content there when I need it.  I suppose you could add the content as new groups, but that is a lot of work also.

I have tried it out with atmospheres and I have to manually locate every atmosphere set (like sunshine, sunshine1 ...). But once Vue knows where the set is I don't need to locate it again even after a restart.

Actually, I was confused (duh).  The stuff I have to add is my personal stuff.  The stuff that I install indicating the path (and I don't use the default) during the install shows up fine in Vue 6 (both Esp and Inf versions).
