You're definitely entitled to your opinion.
However, I think it was said that the Freebie Forum was for people who have created freebies, or have requests for freebies, and that if someone "found" freebies, it was ok to post in other forums.
A differering opinion - Acadia, I really appreciate you sharing all your "finds" with everyone, no matter where you post them.
Cheers,

Wow, how rude! Sorry you feel that way. However, you have the option to either click the link and read the contents of the thread, or skip over it. *I suggest that you do the latter if it bothers you that much!*FYI, the Freebie Forum is for Freebie Creators to announce and discuss their freebies, and for those who are looking to have a freebie made.
The merchants have a similar set up. For their product announcements and discussions they use the "Product Showcase" forum. To discuss their WIP on their products, they have to post in the "Developers" forum. For people looking for commercial items that they can't find in the stores, they post those requests in the "Wishing Well" forum.
StaceyG has stated recently that it's fine to continue to post Freebie finds here in the Poser forum.
I will make a personal note that it bothers you so that if I see you are looking for something, I'll be sure to skip over your post seeing that you consider freebie links to be spam.

hehe, I won't tell if you don't!
I remember seeing the original in the theaters the first time it was out. Can't say I cared too much for it. The soundtrack was really good though. I bought the album...yes, for all of you youngsters reading ... the old vinyl type :P

LOL - I remember seeing it in theaters too, and the lines around the block-something that didn't happen much at that time . I didn't like it back then either. Funny thing was that I saw, a few years later, a brilliant spoof called "Hardware Wars" by Ernie Fosselius (COMPLETELY hysterical if you've never seen it). It actually makes it hard to watch the original Star Wars movie, because I keep seeing & hearing the lines from the spoof. You can watch a preview of it here:

Nope. The freebie forum was meant for promoting and sharing details of our own freebies, not someone else's.
Sharing a note in here to the effect of 'hey, folks, check out what I found, it may be useful for you too' is one of the things this forum is for.

Those aren't too bad. Of course, we at [Vanishing Point](http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/freestuff.asp?ClassificationID=1) still have the Poser versions of the astromechs, X-Wing, AT-AT, AT-ST, and more. They're all properly scaled and there's no worry if your version of Poser will import that version of the 3ds file. ;) P.S. Why is it considered "spam" to talk about freebies in the Poser Forum when there are at least two threads promoting marketplace items in this forum? One even announces a 25% off sale in the subject line. --John

Nor me. I thought it was shoddy, corny, overblown, overhyped garbage.

I was on a search and stumbled onto this site. I'm not a Star Wars fan, but these models look very good. They are in .3ds format and can be imported into Poser.
