After quite a bit of development time my Art of Skin shaders for Carrara are near completion. I thought I'd give a preview of them for those interested.
A few notes on them: they are compatible with any model imported into Carrara. That includes any Daz models (Victoria, Michael, etc.), just adjust according to the detail and scale you desire. Since all the shaders are procedural they have detail at any level, its really quite lovely the detail you can get in comparison to a texture map and without the huge maps you'd normally have to use. How about some pictures?
One thing you'll notice is the wet look on the above image. Its a subtle effect and each shader in the pack comes in a wet and a dry version.
And a screenshot of some of the included shaders with a magnified look at the Basic skin with freckles to see the details. Some of the shaders also come with SSS setup, though keep in mind you'll need to set it up according to your scene lighting and scale.
These have taken quite a bit of time to get right and I hope when released you all will like them. I'm getting everything together to submit them to the Daz store for sale soon and once processed they'll be up for grabs.
