All the sites for celeb photos have weird sign-ups. Where can I obtain nice head shots?

Sounds like someone just bought FaceShop :).

Good quality (hi-res) head shots are quite hard to come by unfortunately.

I'm thinking if anyone has a link for you it'd be Acadia (the link queen!).

Actually, I have found many highrez photos. The trick I found was to do a Google search on the celeb that you want and then click on images and then select large only. So, when you click on the image it will take you to the site that host it. Search through those sites, they are full of high rez photos and quite often for many celebs.

Also, if the site wants a you to register, just click on the , "Full size" like beside the image thumbnail. This will at least give you that image without the rest of the hassel.

I don't like too much FaceShop. The result looks too poor for me. The faces seem like old TheSims avatars, 2D features. I prefer the old method, likeness gotten moving dial-by-dial

Can you get the newsgroups? if so go too

:headscratch: How the heck does one get newsgroups? My poor browser can't seem to grok those. Or maybe it's just me...

depending on browser, there may be a menu with terms like "mail and newsgroups". in netscape, it's in the "window" menu. however, folks usually use an usenet client; for those using OS X, I would recommmend Unison.

As Nancy says or Outlook express will do it, Xnews is very good and free, but to find out how to set up either app to get the groups you need to look at your ISP's set up, in my case its in there FAQs on how to setup outlook.

Google advanced image search!

A few years ago when I was doing fakes the best place by far was usemycomputer.com and used to be completely free , and no signups but had a lot of adds.

This is where I go for images, a lot of good hi-res images and a lot of good close ups.

you only have to register to use the search facility

I use Time Warner RoadRunner broadband Cable as my ISP.
Tons of NGs and plenty in others?

What News Server Provider do you use Steve?

I join Easynews.com every now and then, i like them because they have a HTML Viewer where you can browse the thumbnails if your just looking for images.......the html viewer reports 7110 images in that group, there are some huge ones of christina applegate, some suitable for FaceShop i think......To be honest i've never heard of half of the celebs but there are some great ideas for poser clothes LOL, oh and you get to access alt.binaries.3d.poser.....Steve
