They won't let me have one of those.... tehy keep whipsering something about "remember his last nurse" and "what about what happened to the bus load of retired nuns?" I have no idea what they're talking about, but I would love to see this one. I have an old man character who just sits at teh bar.. he needs a hobby and wittlin' is always good.
Actually, I do use a straight razor to shave. I found a pair of late 19th century pieces in the last house we owned and they are some of the finest peices I've ever used. The only time I've ever had a smoother shave is when I tested a hair removing chemical. (and the razors make such neat patterns when you get the running targets in the back)
Bloodsong-- I made it a "figure" type prop. I didn't think it was possible to make vertices rotate around a point using a morph. I figured if I tried a morph for opening the blade it wouldn't really rotate open, but rather smoosh the blade all up as the vertices get linearly interpolated between the original and morph positions. I've been trying to decide what I want to do with this thing. I think I'll post it to Fun Stuff when I'm finally satisfied that I'm done with it. I was thinking of trying to sell it at first, but I think I'll just kind of beg for donations in the Readme I include with it, maybe there are some people who would use it and take pity on a starving artist. :)
Oh, I've used a straight razor too--back when I used to reenact Civil War battles and stuff. All I ever managed to do was cut myself while trying to use a beat-up, fire scorched tin plate as a mirror. They don't reflect for crap. It's a nice little razor though, with a bone handle and all that. No nicks in the blade, which makes a huge difference in how much you cut yourself.

Well. . . I upgraded my computer not long ago. There were a few things I had on my old hard drive that I forgot to copy off to ZIP disk before I whiped it out. Anyway, this is the first 3D model I've made since I upgraded. The three blades are posable. Reminds me of when I was finally old enough for my dad to give me a pocket knife of my very own. What do you guys think? I have no idea what I want to use it for, I was just inspired to make a pocketknife.
