Anyone use this?
Is it worth getting, or a waste of $$$?

Thanks,
Thom

I use it all the time...I have the v4, Sydney, JessiG2, and Miki2 versions.  I love them.  Using Hair files is SOOOO easy :)

The Miki 2 version is the only one I don't have-- and it's in my shopping cart at CP. I absolutely recommend them and have in several posts 😊

Converting prop hair is a breeze, conforming hair is a little more detailed, just more steps, not difficult. The instructions are very thorough.

If it is by Netherworks I would grab it now! Love the one he did for Apollo! Prop hair a quick click and conforming as kalon mentioned above. If I used Miki 2 more I would get that one too.

The time and aggravation his work saved me on Apollo was more than worth the price of the conversion kit. I guess you can ask yourself -  how much do I value my sanity.  😉

Definitely worth the money.   As with the Apollo equivalent, it spectacularly expands the range of hairstyles available.   I think that applying the fixes is often a two-stage process:  first apply the hair as though for V3/A3/the other one, then apply the Netherworks magnets to get the Miki 2 fit.

Some additional tweaking may be necessary and I have had a few problems when trying to fit complex hairstyles.   The advantages enormously outweigh the limitations, however.

That is correct, for prop hair. But before someone reads this thread, purchases a conversion system and ends up ticked off...  😄

The process for conforming figure hair is different. You'll have to copy the hair's obj file into a specific directory and rename it with a specific and provided name. Import the new obj, apply the magnets, save the altered obj then edit two lines in the provided set up CR2 to point to your new object. If the original figure hair had morphs, you transfer them from the original hair figure to your new CR2 using Morph Manager.

There are limitations with figure hair that has additional body parts (parts not existing in the figure). The kits come with python scripts that make it a one click process to translate the magnet  enduced shape to the new fit morph and a really handy script that you can use in all your various projects to create thumbnails within Poser.

Ok well because you all spoke so highly of it, I took the plunge and bought it. As first glance it's great. After using it to convert 3 figure hairs, and almost a dozen prop hair...

It's still great. I don't mind the little bit of editing and magnet work to get things 'just right' it's a lot easier then using the scaling dials and creating your own magnets to get them to fit. (which was the method I was using before.)

So thanks, nice recommend.
