Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
I think those are material zones that the character has rather then maps themselves, and not very easy to get rid of. Probably not something you wanna attempt unless you really know what you;re doing, as it involves messing with the cr2 and possibly with the original obj file.
that is, if I understood correctly what you're describing here.

I guess i'm describing the Texture Manager within the material room. it has a drop down menu with all the textures that are being used with the figure. When I change the MAT from the pose library to another MAT, the previous materials are still in the drop down menu of the Texture Manager. I would like to see only the one's currently being used, and not all the materials that were used before i changed them on the figure. I hope i'm explaining it right.
As far as I know, the only way to clear the texture map cache is to close Poser and re-open, as you said.
Hoping someone has a better answer.
This could, perhaps, merely have said "bookmark"....

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.
On P6, that would be the Render/Reload Textures menu item. P7 lost this?
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Hi guys. Dummy here again. You know in the material room, when you click on the diffuse texturemap, you get the texture that's loaded with the arrow next to it to see what other textures are loaded with it. sometimes when i skin a figure i use different maps for SkinHead, Lips, etc. These maps become numerous in the drop down menu when diffuse is selected. My question (finally) is could there be a way to clear this list while poser 7 is loaded, or do I have to clear it by cutting off poser and reloading it as I have been doing thus far? It's no biggie. just wondering. TIA
