Subject: It looks like it's contagious

I'm trying to buy a couple of items from the store, but like others before me am getting the following message: CC Processing Failure! AVS Failed: RC=D, Problem connecting to the AVS server, please try again. Last time I had this problem it was because your merchant acquirer couldn't deal with non-US orders. I'm from the UK. I don't supposed you've recently changed acquirer have you? Either way, please give them a kick - it's costing you business. Regards Neil

niejc1, could you send me your first 2 and last 4 credit card digits (Example: 44*0000) to store@renderosity.com and I'll check on it. Thanks.

I've been getting the same message all weekend and it looks like its been charging my account without me knowing, everytime i pressed the button. I think you need another merchant, but not before i get some payback!!!

Make sure they are real charges, and not just authorizations. Our system first attempts to authorize your account for the amount of the transaction. That's when we check for card problems or address verification problems. If there is a problem, the post-authorization is NOT done, thus, no real charges happen. However, the authorization will put a lock on funds for anywhere from a few minutes to a day or two, depending on your bank.

Russle, I can't check on my account for sure until monday when the bank opens. All i've got is an online statement that goes up to the 17th, the last time i used my card. It also shows money has been taken out over this weekend and the only thing i can think of is the stuff i've tried but failed to get from the store. So do i order from the store or not?, i've never had any problems before and your help has been great but at the moment i have no confidence in it. Yours, Billy

Sorry Russell, spelt your name wrong ?

Worst case, get Jenifer (jhandley) your blinded CC number (12*1234) and she can credit your account for the failed purchases. The problem is, our CC processor (CyberCash) is sending us an undocumented AVS (address verification service) code of "D". Currently we are failing those transactions until we get a response from them as to what that code means. You might verify you are entering the billing address for your credit card correctly.

We found out today that Visa/MasterCard have added some new AVS codes for international AVS. The code "D" is now accepted by our system.
