Subject: Collections on External HD's

Anyone using collections for Vue 6 Inf on External Hd's.  Like object collection, Plant collections and Material collections. :)
    I do and for some reason they very slow to access after a fresh start of Vue. Curious if any others do the same.

I find my objects collections slow to load on sartup, even on same HD. Second time is at normal speed.

Same with me bruno.  I got a ticket that you might want to add to or start a new one.   Using Vue 5 and same collections they load fast. :) Attached is link to my ticket about this problem.

Glad I am not only one who usdes extrernal HD for collections.  If vue goes down I still got them and if operating system goes I still got them. :)

I have my content stored on an external hard drive, but the collections open quickly. That is, they do after reading them for the first time. That's slow. So, I went through and opened them all up - a time consuming project. But now they open faster. Or at least they do when I close and reopen Vue. Haven't tried this after rebooting yet, to see if the speed continues. Nelia

Hmmmmmm Mine are slow everytime I open vue the first time.  Once they are open they are fast.
   I mean mine are very slow to open that first time. :)
