**Hey, Great lemon shot!! But these are not crayfish, they're
called spot shrimp:

To spawn, it metamorphoses in mid-life from male to female.
Spot shrimp are found in the North Pacific Ocean.
In North America, they range from Alaska to southern California,
while in Asia they are distributed from the Sea of Japan to Korea Strait.

These we caught not to far from my home, by Lopez Island...

but Ooooooo are the sweet and tasty!!!!!!

great shot awjay, dinner for two cool birds!! I bet they'd love some shrimp!!!**

My father -in-law passed a short time ago..this was the first visit we made to his hobby farm. The scene is a daughter with the mother, looking things over and surely thinking in each heart. The mess of stuff was left by another son-in-law... something not allowed by the man who owned this farm. Oh well,  it will be straighted up.

I saw these two women at the barn, walking slowly and looking, touching. My projected thought put it all into my imagination of the hearts of these women.  Who really knows but them.    Tom.

Firesnuffer..what was that! Wow! We had no fireworks at the next town over, not certified by the state for some reason this year.  The rules have stiffened. And to the rest, that seafood makes me hungry.  TRuly.

We were messing at work with backgrounds, using a desk fluorescent lamp for light. This was part of someones lunch.  So much for  that.

I was going to comment sooner, but had to go for food! LOL! Thanks for the fireworks, everyone I slept through ours! Working nights tends to catch up at the oddest times. We're on page 49 in my browser. I've been enjoying this journey so much, please allow me to thank everyone who has made it so enjoyable, and hope it is a long journey. BJ

WONDERFUL! BTW This is the first post on page fifty from here. I work in a school for boys with behavior problems. Specifically the firesetters program. We were working on arts and crafts the other day. One of the boys created an amazing piece, no one will ever see, because of confidentiallity. The picture was turnout gear. The boots, and pants ready to be stepped into, and the helmet on top. The caption was, "Real super heroes don't wear capes" , I thought you might appreciate the sentiment. BJ

Firesnuffer ( ) posted Sun, 08 July 2007 at 11:09 AM

I DO appreciate that very much!  When I was growing up I always thought the firemen were so special.... now that I live among them I know that they are just people from every walk of life (the same worries and problems)  but I still think that children should see them as someone they can trust, maybe even a little bigger than life, because I think most of us want to believe there's someone like that in times of trouble. So I try to conduct myself that way, I'm tough on the other guys when I think they slip up (we too often do) and I expect the same from them.
I love it when the kids come to the station and when we go to the schools... I'll never forget the firemen around the corner when I was a kid!

That beach image is unreal Marlenealouche, not sure what it is about it. Yours are stunners too Kai. I like that top one for a music group photo -- though of course in your case it is a single artist, heheh. You could title your first album, "The Four of Me" ;'D

Yay Kai is here.  Good to see you!!!  :^)

Thanks BJ and Kortaloo. LOL I have so many shots from that day that I love. I figured I would stick a few in here... ( If I can. It took 20 minutes to open this thread. )

Love that multiple self-portrait KtK...Tres creative! LOL I thought it looked like a rock group pic, too... and actually I guess it is...just a different kind of 'rock'...( Sigh... Ignore me, I'm such a geek.  :^(   )

I can't see the 'wind' pic for some reason. It isn't fully opening for me. I think it's my connection which btw stinks big time. We just switched to FIOS and let me tell you....BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. 'True 'Kwan' ....yeah right.. It's true 'something' alright... I'll let you insert the word of your choice.... :^/

Whoever is at the beach is stunning Marlene. I love the castle as well. I would put it in my favorites but don't know if that's possible from here, I can't figure it out. They gave Fios to the school my son is the, " Official Computer Geek" for. It was free, it was removed the next day! They would rather pay and get a connection worth paying for. It allowed so many viruses to be dumped it took two weeks to fix it! I thought it WAS a rock group on the beach! I went back and can see it's all one fellow.

Margana ( ) posted Tue, 10 July 2007 at 2:10 PM

That's my daughter, Meg, BJ. Thank you for saying that. :^)

You can't put an image from here in your favorites, at least I don't think you can, but you can right click on your mouse and choose 'save image'. Then you will have it on your pc...if you want to, that is... ;^)

And thanx for the info about FIOS. We even researched it(!) before switching and only heard good things.  Wish I'd mentioned it here sooner so I could have heard that from you. ...Oh well.  :^/ Hope it's not a huge hassle to switch back....

LOL for the moment it's moving a bit better...only taking 5 minutes to open this thread, lol.
