Drac, have you had any dealings with these folks before?   Seems like a excellent way to obtain personal info for bogus reasons.
I clicked the link at the email to "contact us"  And Microsoft email began sending fm my 'puter.  I immediately aborted (soon enough I hope).   I have never that happen before.

Guess I don't understand the workings well enough.  I still don't understand why my Norton popped up its little window that it was scanning outgoing mail when I had not sent anything.  That is why I aborted.  Color me dumb... but erring on the cautious side.
