Subject: Poser import NON-FUNCTIONAL in Vue 6 (at least for me at the moment)

mikeywilliam ( ) posted Sun, 08 July 2007 at 4:39 PM · edited Sat, 11 January 2025 at 11:16 PM

I have begun to use vue 6 and thought I would see how well it handles my good ol' Poser 5-7. I started with Poser 7 import, Search for the Poser 7 exe. and, well, Vue 6 will not locate it! the same thing happens with Poser 6 and 5. As far as the doc. is conserned, I'm doing this correctly. It seems to be your same basic poser import steps...Just nothing happens.
I know there are updates but Good Grief! Shouldn't this at least work right out of the Box?! Is any one else experianced this problem? I'm using Vue 6 esprit. Thank You.

Just a thought.. if you updated Poser 7, wouldn't it be different then the original poser 7 file? And how would Vue6 know about any differences in P7 if you are running a newer version?

Just update the silly thing, like you should have, and then try it again.

Way too many people take way too many things way too seriously.

You have to go into preferences & tell Vue where the Poser.exe is.

Also the latest updates to vue will really WANT the latest updates to poser 7.. Vue and EF work together solving issues between the apps.

First is that you do NOT have to show Vue the Poser.exe but the folder where this exe is located in.

One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.

That's what I meant/said - WHERE THE POSER.EXE is located.  That would in fact be a folder.
