Subject: p5 newbie

Moonbow ( ) posted Thu, 12 July 2007 at 8:22 AM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 12:37 PM

I have used p4 for several years, but I just got p5 and want to start installing my files to it and I would like to do it right from the start. I have seen posts about making several runtimes, but I am confused about exactly how to go about it and how to access the one you want when you have p5 open.

I apologise in advance about all the p5 questions I will be bugging everyone with in the future. I LOVE this forum :-)

Dr Geep...I have been trying to follow your tutorial that you were so kind to link me to, but for some reason I am just not getting how to make the new runtime the way you say to on page 3.
I have clicked everywhere I can find, but still the little " add  runtime"  window doesn't open. I know it is probably some silly thing I am just not getting. Is there something I am missing?

Double click on the big folder at the top of the library until the Poser 5 folder has a red dot on it.

Then click  the small Right facing arrow >
A drop down window should appear
Click  "Add Runtime"
Browse to the location of the runtime you want to add.
If you have more than one runtime you want to add, then do the "Add Runtime" again for each runtime you want to add.

P.S. If you have multiple levels of Folders ...
You may need to "click-up" (the BLUE Folder) more than once
to get to the (RED Dot) TOP Level where you can "ADD Runtime." >>> (+)
