Subject: Essex photo walkabout Saturday

Onslow ( ) posted Wed, 11 July 2007 at 12:37 PM · edited Fri, 24 January 2025 at 5:37 PM

Hi all,

If anyone is able to make it to Essex, UK  this Saturday afternoon a few of us are meeting up to a photo shoot.  Everyone is welcome to come along and get some shots or just come along and say hi. The weather looks fine and the tide will be in ;)

We are meeting at Leigh on Sea an old fishing town on the Thames estuary.  The subjects there to shoot should meet all tastes and be suitable for any conditions or equipment.  There is:  an old ruined castle , made famous by John Constable in a classic painting,  fishing boats and pleasure craft along with all the equipment that goes with them, boatyards, old wooden fishing sheds selling the catch of the day ( you can take home some cockles and whelks for your tea if you like ),  the old town, a nature reserve with loads of sea/wading birds - Avocets, Egrets, Herons,  etc ... the list goes on and on plus many things I have not even thought about shooting yet.

Akpe, Vera and myself will be there, anyone else who can make it is more than welcome.

Richard.
