Quote - 3DC? I am shure I should know that but I cant figure out which site you mean.
3DC is "3DCommune" -> http://www.3dcommune.com/
The stuff I've got from Cornucopia3D has always been very good. I'd spend a small fortune there if I had one to spend :)

Thanks for the encouragement, FrankT.There are some freebies on my web site that are in *.3ds file format (for the most part). Please help yourself. These will all 'import' into Vue 4, 5 and 6 without problems, I believe.
I was trying to post about 6 free items per month, but was called away to deal with a set of medical emergencies for my elderly parents. I've had the pleasure of being in Southern California here now for 5 weeks, with another couple of weeks to go, so haven't been able to honor my intention. However, when I return, I'll resume my effort of 6 per month. If anyone has something special they might like, you can always write me a request - to forester@mountainflight.us If a request is for a very elaborate model, I probably won't make it entirely free, but I certainly am open to suggestions for models.
Also, you can find quite a lot of excellent freebies in *.3ds and *.lwo file formats on www.turbosquid.com There are some very poor freebies there, of course, but some real gems in amidst the junk.
Every Month it's a toss up between buying stuff for Poser from here or buying stuff for Vue from C3D, I have to say though that if it's buildings in aprticular I'm after I end up at C3D every time, awesome stuff and some merchants over there really outdo themselves with the quality, fantastic!!
Injustice will be avenged.

The vast majority of our product releases include Vue versions. We have a long history with e-on and I am a long time user of Vue. Our parent company introduced e-on software to North America (note the similarity between our address and their US address).
Most of our models include vue "props" but also a "demo" version that has all objects reordered and renamed so that its easier to - say - select all glass windows and apply a custom glass shader.
You can find a small sub-set of our products here on Rendo - everything is available through our website at http://www.meshbox.com.

and take it from me, Chikako's stuff is extraordinarily high quality - I have two of the Elven villiage at the moment and they render beautifully

Good places to buy vue stuff..www.darkanvil.net
www.vanishingpoint.biz
Cornucopia and Content Paradise sells stuff from both sites.
VP has a good range of poser freebies which work really well in Vue. Plus my site has a few assorted vue freebies. Like the buildings in the background in the 1st picture on my gallery page (link above post).
Personally (and where possible) I always try to include all the textures from my Poser products in the Vue products, so you get the same value. Where textures ain't included due to problems with a stupidly huge file size, I happily provide these if any asks.
Though I do recommend the poser version as it's easier to change maps there with a MAT pose than changing the material in Vue.
Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

Most of the stuff I need for my images are purchased at the Cornucopia-Store. A few iteam are from Renderosity. But to there must be more quality stuff out there. Or is it a fact that the only chance to get more items is to buy 3D-Models in other formats and import them into Vue? But where are great Ecosystem-Materials etc. ? Or is there just no need for it?
And where are the cool freebies? Here are only a few cool items to download. There must be more somewhere.
