Has anyone installed Poser 7 in Windows Vista?, I can't get it to install even trying to use the Window XP SP2 compatability mode.

I installed it yesterday on Windows Premium (32 bit). I recall that it took a hell of a long time for the installer to begin doing its thing and I originally thought it wasn't going to install. Also, you can just copy the whole e-frontier folder from a previous install and it will run fine.

I didn't have any trouble installing P7 (mine took a while to start also) and after setting the compatibility it seemed to work fine but it's hanging up when rendering with firefly, only the P4 render will work, and sometimes it hangs on deleting something.   Good luck with yours.   I'm at a loss on what will make it work correctly.

Depends on system as their are lots of programs even in XP compatibility mode wont run properly, you need the minimum spec for vista.
Dual core processor and 4 gig memory as vista takes up 40% system resources as a lot of people put XP on as well and dual boot.
Vista is a stop gap operating system while he gets Vienna ready for release as if you look at 1 98 and 2000 they were stopgap operating systems.
I will stick with my xp as i have XP 64 and 32 bit pro XP and 2 Spare XP homes and 1 pro, if you don't have XP get it of eBay as prices gone up as looking at it from January first next year.
Microsoft will have destroyed most stocks of XP apart from those that they cleared out, they want people to only be able buy Vista from Jan 1st not XP, so get an XP now before the prices skyrocket before Xmas.

Ok, I only installed Vista to see what would work with it, I also have XP 64 and XP Pro and I am reverting back to it on my laptop.
