Lots of free shoes at the above link.  You should be able to resize them to fit other figures though.

Fine stuff.  Out of curiosity, are there any 1950-style black & white saddle shoes

Like those? I don't know of anything like that. But you could probably texture a sneaker to look like that.

Try pasting the link to your browser address bar. If that doesn't work it might be a router down between you and the site and you might have to try again another day.

I just finished downloading 3 files from an site that I had been trying to get for almost 3 weeks. The downloads kept timing out. I just bookmarked the site in my "forums" bookmarks folder and each time I came here, I tried that site too, and one day I finally managed to get the downloads I had been wanting.   http://iso.power.ne.jp/j_free.htm

Ockham: If you're still looking for a saddle shoe, my Sensible Shoe project from many months ago might be suitable:

Not technically in the same shape of the old '50s style, but perhaps passable. The shoes have separate material zones for the saddle, main shoe etc - just set the colours you want, use the bumpmap and it comes up nice (somebody posted renders of saddle style on page 2 or 3 of the thread). Being parented props, they are easily fitted to most figures besides V3.
